Hinewai

There are those special places in the world, which are not that well known, but if you’ve been there you will never forget them. Hinewai is such a place. It is a 1250 hectare reserve in the southeastern corner of Banks Peninsula. It is a mixture of a diversified nature, altogether 327 species of vascular native plants. It has nice walking tracks, 16km in all. A lovely Reserve Manager, Hugh, and it has a lot of signs. You do feel and see all the love Hugh is putting into and having for this place. This combination makes it truly an unforgettable place.
